These 130 Grain 38 Special +P JHP rounds are ideal for defensive purposes. With their PDX line of defensive ammunition, Winchester maximizes the defensive capabilities of caliber, grain weight, and a projectile's material composition and shape. Each core is welded to its outer jacket, maximizing weight retention, and improving the consistency of expansion after impact.
Winchester's advanced hollow point starts life as a lead core before undergoing a proprietary bonding process that welds to two together. This method creates penetration and weight retention that would put this projectile on the FBI ballistics test chart. Once bonded together, the jacket and core receive precisely placed notches to help assist in an even bloom for the best-possible knockdown power.
